・Because this mat uses more rush than a traditional product, more warp thread is used for the weaving.
・The amount of rush used is different. 2800 stalks are used for one tatami in a traditional product, whereas 3.2 times the amount of 9000 stalks per tatami is used.
・6 different colors of rush are used to weave in vertically in a 6-weave method. Doing so increases the volume and durability, creating a rare and valuable rush carpet.
・The dyeing process is different. Normally a basic dye is used to dye to a color once, but this rug is dyed twice. The result is a product that is resistant to discoloration.
・The exterior is wrapped in a Kurume weave (the traditional woven fabric of Kurume city in Fukuoka), resulting in a luxurious product placed in a fancy gift box.
