This is our store’s original tatami mat which uses a mat made from durable Washi paper. It can be used for a long time as it does not discolor. The Washi paper was processed into strings and the woven section was coated with resin.


Its features are:
1. It doesn’t discolor easily, and its beauty is preserved.
This is due to the use of colored Washi paper rather than natural rush.
2. Excellent durability.
It has 3 times the durability of the traditional tatami, preventing scuff marks and scratches from friction.
3. Colors not available in wooden floors.　　　
Colors like gray, pink and blue – which are not seen in traditional greens and yellows of “tatami” – add a modern touch to a room.
4. Resistant to mold and dust mites.
This rug has demonstrated that it is resilient to mold and dust mites, which can cause allergy and atopic dermatitis.
